How to Make Any Android Device a Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Without Having to Root!

In this article I will show you how to make your Android device a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Even better, you can do this without root access! The first method though, will in fact require root access. If you are rooted, simply go into the Android Market, and search for "Wireless Tether". Once installed, you can simply give the app super-user permissions, and it will become a hotspot. Our next solution is with a program called Quick Settings. This is also in the Android Market, and also, won't require you to root your phone. After installed, you need to set it up, just a bit though. Basically, press "menu", and then go to "Preferences". There you can change which settings you want to be visible, and which ones you want to have hidden. The only one we care about, is Wi-Fi hotspot. After configured, go back, and turn on Wi-Fi hotspot, and then in the notifications bar, you can see its status. Press the notification, and it will take you to the settings off the hotspot, such as its name, security, and password. Here is video for a bit more reference:
