Super Bowl Predictions!

It's getting to the time of year when we get to see the really exciting games in the NFL. Of course, it's the playoffs. Now, we're late in the playoffs, and there are only conference championships left before Super Bowl XLVI.  The NFC Championship will consist of the New York Giants, facing off against the San Francisco 49ers. The AFC Championship will be the Ravens against the New England Patriots. Since we have that info, I have my Super Bowl predictions ready. But are you ready to hear them? NY Giants vs NE Patriots. Super Bowl XLII rematch! The reason I predict this matchup is because of what will happen in the conference championship games. New York has proved themselves to be great team, despite being the one of the lowest playoff seeds. Packers were beaten in their home stadium, due to the beastly Giants defense. Also, Eli Manning is one of the elite QB's in the NFL, showing off a convincing win against the Packers. For these reasons, the Giants defense will stop Alex Smith, and the offense will be able to drive up and down the field semi-efficiently. Now to the AFC. Patriots destroyed the Denver Broncos on Saturday night. Tom Brady practically walked up and down the field for 60 minutes, despite a few miscues. Patriots defense has grown tremendously throughout the season, and was keeping both the run and passing game down against the Broncos. Can they perform this well against the Baltimore Ravens? Absolutely not, as the Ravens defense is much more sophisticated than that of the Broncos, but I do think Tom Brady can pick apart the defense; hopefully before the pass rush gets to him. Joe Flacco, in my opinion isn't an amazing QB. Good enough to get his team to the Playoffs, and AFC Championship, but I believe he only throws for a TD. Which won't be enough to beat the Patriots. Now, who wins the Super Bowl? The Patriots will play well against the Giants, but Eli Manning will have a better performance than Brady, simply due to the fact that the Patriots defense, isn't like that of the Giants. Of course these are only predictions. We'll just have to wait and see the results later on.
